Here is the new 1199 Ducati Superleggera with its official name being Ducati Superlight which everyone will see at EICMA which will be held in Milan from 7th to 10th November 2013. The 1199 Superlight is jewel Panigale taken to the extreme in terms of design , use of components with high level of technologies making Ducati Superlight the most advanced Ducati ever made (excluding the Desmosedici Racing Replica).\
The Engine of the new Ducati Superlight features a Super quadro: L-twin cylinder, 4 titanium valves per cylinder Desomodromic, liquid cooled.. Its piston are in 2 segements that increase the compression ratio. Also it now has lighter crankshaft with pads balancing tungsten. It sports titanium connecting rods along with complete exhaust system made entirely of titanium.
Ducati this time concentrated on Removing weight and adding power. The cornerstone of the new increase in performance is weight reduction and here is by part weight reduction done to the new Ducati

- WSBK Chain and Rear Sprocket, and Various Carbon Fibre Parts, Fasteners and Machined-from-Billet Components:-1.3 kg
All this work done by Ducati takes form of a dry weight of only 155kg, which become 177 in running order and is 10kg less than the “R” dry and 12kg in running order. Ducati engineers have used the noble titanium for the exhaust valves, intake valves and for the connecting rods.
The electronics of the 1199 Superleggera are made even more advanced including the new control system of Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) along with the introduction of Inertial Platform. The Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) are optimized by the automatic calibration system of the size of tires and final drive ratio. The Ducati Data Analyser + (DDA+) now allows the recording of the bending angle. All these controls can directly and easily be controlled from the buttons on the handlebars.
The chassis is obviously a marvel, with use of the components at the top for quality and refinement: ohlins FL916 and TTX36 ohlins shock with titanium spring. Brakes are Brembo Monobloc calipers and radial master cylinder front MCS M50 21-19 with a remote control. It features the magnesium wheels from calzeranno Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP.
The 1199 Superleggera will be only 500 and will be offered to customers super selected and the price will be 66,000 euro ( 55lakh approx.). Superleggera each specimen will be “signed” and embellished with a serial number engraved directly on the steering head.
